The residential developer Instone Real Estate (‘Instone’), which operates throughout Germany, has completed the ‘Amanda’ residential ensemble in Hamburg on schedule and handed over all residential units. In a central location between the Schanzenviertel and Eimsbüttel districts, 113 apartments and two commercial units have been built. Demand was high - all apartments have already been fully sold in 2021. In addition, 52 subsidised student flats have been built for NORD PROJECT Immobilien. The ground floor of the so-called ‘Hannah Arendt Haus’ houses a salon for exhibitions, readings and other events.
Carsten Sellschopf, COO Nord-Ost Instone Real Estate: ‘We are delighted to have completed our “Amanda” project on schedule. Thanks to the excellent cooperation with the city and everyone involved in the planning and construction, we have handed over the residential ensemble to the new owners on schedule.’ He adds: ‘At the same time, the continued high demand for attractive living space for a broad target group in the sought-after city centre location was already clear at the start of the project. The demand for large, family-friendly apartments was particularly high. The majority of buyers were owner-occupiers.’
Instone realised six buildings on the site on the corner of Amandastrasse and Schulterblatt, which are spread across a three- to seven-storey development with apartments ranging from two to five rooms for singles, couples and small and large families. There is also an underground car park with 71 parking spaces beneath the car-free, green inner courtyard. The location also has excellent public transport connections and is in the immediate vicinity of Lindenpark. The renowned Hamburg architects LRW Architekten und Stadtplaner are responsible for the architecture.
