Wiesbaden

Wiesbaden – Where elegance meets joie de vivre

In the capital of Hesse, stylish architecture, a traditional culture and a vibrant city life come together. Landmarks such as the Marktkirche and the Hessian State Theatre dominate the cityscape, whilst parks and thermal baths offer a place to relax. Its central location in the Rhine-Main region also makes Wiesbaden an attractive business hub.

Wiesbaden has excellent transport links: trains, cars and the nearby Frankfurt Airport enable tourists, commuters and business travellers to reach the entire Rhine-Main region quickly. At the end of the working day, strolls through the spa gardens or along the surrounding vineyards invite you to wind down and relax. The Hessian State Theatre attracts visitors with opera, drama and ballet, the vibrant music scene delights with concerts and festivals for all ages, and at the Museum Wiesbaden you can experience works of art from up close.

The feel-good city in Hesse

Wiesbaden has a population of around 300,000 and is divided into six inner-city districts and 20 suburbs. Lively streets and charming retreats make Wiesbaden a home filled with quality of life, culture and leisure opportunities. From traditional Hessian specialities to international restaurants, Wiesbaden’s diversity is reflected in every neighbourhood. Visitors can explore the city’s cultural offerings on their own via ‘Route 65’, which opened in 2025. And for those who love nature, there’s no need to leave the city at all; the city forest, covering an area of around 4,300 hectares, offers numerous walking and cycling trails as well as picnic and barbecue areas.
